To provide a method for producing hollow fiber membrane and a hollow fiber membrane module which allow normal/defective decision whether a product has defective or not by means of leak test in a dried state even when a module comprises hollow fiber membrane of asymmetrical structure.
Hollow fiber with micropores is immersed in aqueous glycerin solution, the aqueous glycerin solution immersing the hollow fiber is subjected to pressure reduction treatment, subsequently, moisture is dried, thereby, glycerins are stuck to the hollow fiber evenly, the hollow fiber membrane where glycerins are enclosed in the micropores is produced and the module is manufactured with the hollow fiber membrane. In this hollow fiber membrane module, thereby, the normal/defective decision whether a product has defective or not can be performed by means of leak test in the dried state with glycerins staying on the membrane without performing a dipping leak test in water.
