Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING HYDROGEN PEROXIDE AQUEOUS SOLUTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002275671
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution which hardly contains effective chlorine and organic halogen compounds by using seawater as the raw material.

Electric current is made to flow between an insoluble anode 3 and a gaseous oxygen diffusion cathode 5 while holding the concentration of halide ions in an anode solution in an anode chamber 4 to ≤1 g/l, and hydrogen peroxide in a cathode solution is dissolved. The production of effective chlorine caused by the anodic oxidation of the halide ions can be suppressed.
