Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING IMMOBILIZED INCLUSION MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3756147
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an immobilized inclusion material giving an inclusion material having arbitrary size without increasing the concentration of an immobilization carrier such as sodium alginate.
SOLUTION: The immobilized inclusion material is produced by charging a calcium chloride solution 3 containing 2 or 3-valent metal ion into a vessel 1 holding a sodium alginate solution 2 containing an inclusion object such as microorganism while preventing the mixing of the calcium chloride solution 3 and the sodium alginate solution 2, gently stirring the content of the vessel to effect the gelatinization of the surface of the sodium alginate solution 2 until the surface is completely gelatinized, and floating the obtained elliptic ball 4 in a separate calcium chloride solution 6 to proceed the gelatinization of the surface of the ball 4 containing the inclusion object and obtain a spherical immobilized inclusion material 7.
