To provide a method for producing a rich-durability metallic glass alloy simultaneously materializing both wear resistance and slidability.
An alloy body 18 is a molding of a metallic glass alloy having a boron nitride layer formed densely in the surface and more thinly as going inward. The alloy body 18 can be produced by molding or heat-treating a metallic glass alloy (a raw material) containing boron and metal materials containing two or more kinds of elements in nitrogen atmosphere. Because boron nitride has excellent lubricity and strength, the lubricity and the wear resistance can be enhanced by the formation of the boron nitride layer in the surface of the alloy body 18. Furthermore, because boron nitride is integrated (distributed) as a part of the alloy, there is not risk that the boron nitride is peeled, and the wear resistance and the slidability can be maintained over a long period.
