Abstract:

To provide a method for producing an acrylic or a methacrylic ester by which the purification cost is reduced and the acrylic or methacrylic ester having excellent stability of quality and reliability is obtained.

The method for producing the acrylic or methacrylic ester comprises passing through a purification step by distillation. In the method, the purification step by the distillation is carried out by using a distillation apparatus equipped with a distillation column composed of a column 1 with a partition wall.
