Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of a nanoparticle assembly for use in a negative electrode active material for a lithium ion secondary battery, the nanoparticle assembly being capable of effectively increasing volume energy density by achieving higher density of a negative electrode layer of a lithium ion secondary battery while comprising cerium oxide nanoparticles, resulting in capable of exhibiting excellent battery capacity.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a nanoparticle assembly for use in a negative electrode active material for a lithium ion secondary battery, the nanoparticle assembly exhibiting a specific shape, includes the following steps (I)-(II) of: (I) obtaining a slurry (X) by dispersing cellulose nanofibers and/or ligno-cellulose nanofibers having an average fiber diameter of less than or equal to 50 nm into a solvent; and (II) subjecting an obtained slurry (X) and a slurry (Y) prepared from a cerium compound to a hydrothermal reaction to thereby obtain a nanoparticle assembly comprising cerium oxide nanoparticles and cellulose nanofibers and/or ligno-cellulose nanofibers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
