Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new preparation method for optically active alcohols especially useful as synthetic intermediates for physiologically active compounds such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and the like, functional materials such as liquid crystals and the like or synthetic materials such as fine chemicals and the like associated with the preparation method for optically active alcohols. SOLUTION: It relates to the preparation method for optically active alcohols including the process for a ketone to react with a hydride reagent in the presence of an optically active metallic compound, an alcohol and a halide.
