Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of controlling physical properties, production efficiency or the like of a lignin derivative for obtaining the lignin derivative from a lignocellulose-based material.
SOLUTION: The method for producing a phenol derivative of lignin comprises a step of compatibilizing the lignocellulose-based material with a phenol derivative, and a step of introducing the phenol derivative into lignin in a reaction system obtained by adding an acid to the lignocellulose-based material compatibilized in advance with the phenol derivative, wherein ultrasonic wave is irradiated to a mixed system containing the lignocellulose-based material at least in either step of the above steps.
