Abstract:

To develop a method for producing an olefin-phosphorus compound, without requiring use of a secondary phosphine.

This method for producing the specific olefin-phosphorus compound comprises reacting a compound of formula (II) (A1 and A2 are each an ortho-arylene; and E is a vicinal cis-alkenediyl or a vicinal cis-alkanediyl, wherein two ylcarbon atoms thereof have each one or two hydrogen atoms) with a compound of R1R2P-Hal (R1 and R2 are each a 1-30C monovalent group, or R1, R2 and P together form a five-membered to nine-membered heterocyclic group which has 2 to 50 carbon atoms and may have 1 to 3 heteroatoms selected from a group comprising oxygen and nitrogen atoms; and Hal is chlorine, bromine or iodine) in the presence of an acid or a base to form a specified compound and reducing the formed specified compound.
