To provide a method for producing a plate-type heat pipe, with which the production cost of the plate-type heat pipe is decreased by making a production process thereof simpler and quicker and making the yield thereof higher.
The method for producing the plate-type heat pipe comprises: a step S1 of packing sintering powder in a packing space and grooves of a tubular body, sintering the sintering powder-packed tubular body and then removing a center rod, so that a capillary structure layer and capillary structure protrusions are formed on the inside surface of a chamber and capillary-structured projections are protruded from the surface of the capillary structure layer to form free ends; a step S2 of compressing the tubular body to form a plate-type tubular body, so that the capillary-structured projections support the plate-type tubular body; a step S3 of preparing a conduit; a step S4 making two openings of the plate-type tubular body seal sealed ports to form the chamber; a step S5 of bonding the conduit to the plate-type tubular body; and a step S6 of withdrawing the air in the chamber through the conduit, pouring a working liquid into the chamber through the conduit and sealing the end of the conduit.
