Abstract:
To provide a simple and industrially advantageous method for producing a polycarboxylic acid poly(alkyl-substituted cyclohexylamide) in high yield and in high productivity through eliminating drawbacks in terms of cost and production involved in conventional methods.
The method for producing the polycarboxylic acid poly(alkyl-substituted cyclohexylamide) comprises conducting an amidation reaction between a polycarboxylic acid and an alkyl-substituted cyclohexylamine in the presence of a boric acid compound and a phenolic compound or in the presence of a boric ester made from a boric acid compound and a phenolic compound.
