To provide a simple method capable of efficiently producing a polyphenol-containing material containing quercetin-3-O-rhamnoside as a main ingredient.
The method for producing the polyphenol-containing material containing quercetin-3-O-rhamnoside as a main ingredient comprises: extracting one or more materials selected from the group consisting of flower buds of leguminous plants, blossoming flowers, petals and leaves by using an alcohol, a water-containing alcohol, water or warm water as an extraction solvent; concentrating the extracted solution; dissolving the resultant concentrate in water; absorbing the aqueous solution into an absorption column; washing the absorption column with water and/or 30% alcohol; and eluting and recovering the absorbed material by using 32-50% alcohol.
