Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a prism and an optical system capable of improving the yield of a prism using blue light beam and an optical system using the prism.
SOLUTION: In the method of producing an optical system 1 provided with a light source 2 for emitting a light beam of a wavelength of ≤420 nm and a prism 8 which is prepared by sticking inclined surfaces formed on light transmissive first and second substrates 8a, 8b via an optical thin film 8d to each other and transmits the outgoing light beam of the beam source 2, a sticking process for combining and sticking the second substrates 8a and 8b is provided in which the difference of refractive indices ΔN1 of the substrates at a wavelength of the applied laser beam satisfies the relation: ΔN1≤|1/(0.3×104×NA×t)|, wherein t (mm) stands for the thickness of the prism 8 and NA the numerical aperture of incident light.
