Abstract:

To provide a method for providing information and its device for providing information about a vehicle at real time in accordance with the status of the vehicle.

An onboard information terminal device 10 transmits a signal of information provision request including identification information and current location information of the vehicle for identifying the device 10 to a center 20. The center 20 receives the request signal and authenticates the device 10 by using the identification information included in the request. The center 20 specifies the current location of the vehicle and calculates the accumulated travel distance of the vehicle by using the current location information included in the request. Then the center 20 determines whether the current location and the travel distance of the vehicle satisfy the prescribed criteria or not. According to this determination, if the criteria are satisfied, the center 20 transmits the lease condition changing information corresponding to the criteria, The device 10 receives the changing information to display it on a display device 17.
