To prevent danger of exposure to aflatoxin B1 by employing 3',4',5',6',7'-pentamethoxyflavone and/or mexoticin as a model substance of aflatoxin B1.
When3',4',5',6',7'-pentamethoxyflavone is employed as a sample, 10vol.% of chloroform and acetone is developed by a developing solvent containing 80-100vol.% of chloroform and 0-20vol.% of acetone. When mexoticin is employed as a model substance, 100vol.% of ether, methanol and water is developed by a developing solvent containing 90-98vol.% of ether, 0.5-0.5vol.% of methanol and 0-3vol.% of water. Preferably, the developing solvent is composed of single polar compound or two or more polar compounds mixed at an appropriate ratio further mixed or not mixed with one or more than one nonpolar compound at an appropriate ratio.
