Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase similarity between a reconstituted voice signal and an original voice signal by increasing periodicity by constituting a conventional long range predicting device combined with a two tap finite impulse response(FIR) filter.
CONSTITUTION: The sample of an input voice signal is inputted to a delay device, and inputted to a conventional long range predicting devices 16, 17 for being processed afterwards. Delay obtained by this delay device generates a (precurser) signal preceding to the output of the conventional long range predicting device 16, 17. Simultaneously, the input voice signal sample is supplied to an FIR filter, and a signal preceding to the delayed output of the conventional long range predicting device 16, 17 for one pitch time and two pitch time is generated. This signal is attenuated by the tap gain of the filter, and an envelope formed by this signal is shaped like a ramp increasing with a time. Therefore, the output signal of an improved long range prediction signal indicates further larger periodicity in a low frequency area than the output of the conventional long range predicting device 16, 17.
