PURPOSE: To perform the solid/liquid separation of slurry without choking the filter, by pre-loading the slurry liquid to the position higher than the filter provided at the bottom of slurry transporting vessel while when supplying the slurry removing the liquid from the lower portion to maintain the height of liquid.
CONSTITUTION: When supplying the slurry to the bottom 2 of slurry transporting vessel 1, only the liquid of slurry fluid is pre-loaded to the height higher than the filter 4 located at the bottom, then the slurry fluid is supplied. The height of slurry 13 is maintained constant by exhausting the liquid from the lower pump chamber 5 in correspondence with the loading of slurry. Since the section of filter 4 is always filled with slurry fluid it causes no choking.
