Title:
METHOD FOR REMOVING POLYAMINE CHERATING AGENT FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3266872
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a polyamine chelating agent by oxidizing the polyamine chelating agent by oxygen in the presence of almost equivalent weight of transition metal and next biologically reducing the chelate in the presence of an electron donor.
SOLUTION: A reactor 1 is an oxidizing reactor to which waste water 4 containing a chelating agent, transition metal 5, and oxygen 6 are fed. The chelating agent forms a complex together with the metal, and this complex is decomposed by the oxygen. A reactor 2 is a bioreactor, and there, the metal and the metal complex are biologically reduced, and the reduced metal is returned to the oxidizing reactor 1 through a conduit 8. The electron donor is fed through a conduit 9, and a separator 3 separates the metal complex discharged from the bioreactor from purified waste water 12. In this way, the polyamine base chelating agent is reacted with transition metal such as iron and the formed complex is oxidized, and next, the oxide is reduced by denitrification bacteria or sulfate reduction bacteria, thereby decomposing an removing the chelating agent.
