To provide an information retrieving method in a client-server system enabling display of required data by the execution of absolute minimum specified operation in the case of displaying data specified by plural selected items on a home page.

The client-server system mutually connecting a server computer(SC) storing various data and a client computer(CC) 2 through a network 3 displays a home page based on data corresponding to plural specified selection items requested from the CC 2 to the computer 1 on the CC 2. When the CC 2 changes the specification of one selected item out of plural selected items, the selected item whose specification is changed is updated and an updated home page based on data of other non-updated selected items is displayed.
