In the method of rolling by a reversible rolling device, cramps 4a, 4b, jointed through tracting wire 7a, 7c with drams 3a, 3c used for wires and fitted with drums 9a, 9b for the strip, are fixed to the forward end part of the strip passed through the rolling mill 1 and the rear end part of the strip not yet passed through, and then, with a tensile force loaded on the strip 33, rolling is executed until the forward end and rear end come near to the rolling mill.
