Abstract:
To provide the rolling method of shapes for improving the capacity for changing web height while suppressing the generation of local recess on the outside of flanges of the shapes having the flanges and a web.
In a process for manufacturing the shapes having the flanges 1 and web 2 by hot-rolling using at least one or more universal mills, an excess metal part 31 is formed on the outside of the flanges in the vicinity of the joined part of the flanges and the web of a material to be rolled with the universal mill and, after that, the rolling for widening the web of the material to be rolled is executed.
