PURPOSE: To provide new information for the diagnosis of the cancer, etc., of a patient utilizing the degree of structural change of the sugar chain of glycoproteins by providing a method by which the degree of structural changes of the sugar chain of the glycoproteins can be quickly and easily measured with high accuracy when the patient is suffering from a disease.
CONSTITUTION: The method for separately measuring glycoproteins is used for glycoproteins having different sugar chain structures and substantially same glycoprotein structures as objects to be measured. In the method, a lectin which recognizes at least one specific sugar chain structure of the glycoproteins to be measured and an antibody (first antibody) having such a nature that the antibody can be bonded to all glycoproteins to be measured, but cannot be bonded to some of the glycoproteins to be measured to which lectin is bonded are used in a combined way and glycoproteins to which the first antibody is bonded and glycoproteins to which the antibody is not bonded are separately measured by utilizing such difference in nature.
