Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent reduction in activity of elastase in lyophilization and after that, by lyophilizing elastase crystal and sucrose.

CONSTITUTION: Elastase crystal is blended with ≥20wt%, usually an equivalent of a sucrose (saccharose, cane sugar, white sugar, granulated sugar, etc., having grade acceptable as medical preparation of food raw material) and lyophilized. The elastase crystal has low water solubility and lyophilized in a suspension state. Elastase having high activity can be stably preserved for a long period.
