Title:
METHOD FOR SUPERIMPOSING PICTURE MEMORY AND BINARY IMAGE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63124671
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simplify the execution and release of superimposition by providing a binary image memory having 2-bit of picture element accessed at the same time with halftone picture memory so as to superimpose the intermediate tone picture on the binary picture while having only to access the memory. CONSTITUTION:An n-bit halftone picture is stored in a memory section 1a and an binary image is stored in a memory section 1b. In storing the binary image whether or not the binary image is to be displayed in a memory part 1b1 is set and which level of the binary image is to be displayed is set to a memory part 1b0. A selector section 2 uses the data 1b0 so as to select one of two levels set by a switch group 7 and sends it to a selector section 3. Whether or not the binary image is to be superimposed is switched by using a signal inputted to a select terminal 6 and in case of the superimposing a data stored in the memory section 1b1 is used to switch the selector section 3, and whether a signal obtained by the selector section 2 or the halftone picture in the memory section 1a is selected and outputted to an output terminal 5. That is, the selecting terminal 6 can switch simply whether the picture is superimposed or not.
