PURPOSE: To avoid contact of a hopper for bedding ore with a supporting material and to uniformly and stably spread the bedding ore by supplying the bedding ore on pallet grate in a sintering machine through a belt feeder set at high position.
CONSTITUTION: The pallets 5 arranging the supporting material 3 projecting on a bottom face are continuously circulated toward the arrow mark direction. On the grate 4 in this pallet 5, the bedding ore 1 discharged from the hopper 11 for bedding ore is supplied. After that, sintering raw material 6 is discharged from a charging hopper 7 with a drum feeder 8 and packed into the pallet 5 through a chute 9. Successively, ignition is executed on the upper face of this packed layer and while supporting sintering cake with the above supporting material 3, the sintering proceeds to the lower layer. In the above sintering machine, the above-mentioned bedding ore 1 discharged from the hopper 11 for bedding ore is supplied on the grate 4 through the belt feeder 13 arranged at the position higher than pallet side wall 12. By this method, the bedding ore 1 can be uniformly and stably spread on the grate 4.
