Abstract:

PURPOSE: To give good wetability and adhesion without forming any pinhole or dielectric breakdown, by subjecting a polyolefin fluoride molded item to corona discharge treatment under a uniform electric field between a pair of parallel planar electrodes.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of insulators 3, 4 for example of glass are placed in parallel between a pair of parallel planar electrodes 1, 2 (e.g. aluminium foils, etc.) via spacers 5 with a clearance preferably of 0.5W2mm between the insulators 3, 4. Then a polyolefin fluoride molded item 7 is placed on the lower insulator 4, and a high voltage preferably of 5W50kV from a high frequency power source (preferably 20W100kHz) is applied between the electrodes 1, 2 so that the surface of the molded item 7 may be subjected to corona discharge treatment.
