To provide a method and device for correction by new electronic telecommunication permitting an automatic marking method of a text (description) part that could not been carried out, permitting to automatically mark answers of questions in real time even if the questions contain text parts, and permitting to see the result of the marking in real time.

The method and device comprise a step (means) for automatically marking answers by an automatic marking program in a server by judging whether the answers transmitted to a correspondence course system server 11 from a terminal of a solver via an open communication network 13 such as the Internet are a code method or a text (description) method, and further a step (means) for automatically displaying prepared comments in a specified section according to the result of the above marking by an instruction from the terminal of a correcting instructor, and correcting or supplementing the above comments by the corrector him-/herself if necessary, and transmits the result of the marking to the terminal of the solver in question to display it on the display device of the terminal of the solver.
