Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adjusting the down-tilt angle of a radio communication system antenna.
SOLUTION: Plural cells 1, 2, etc., include cell sites CS1, CS2, etc., respectively. A mobile switching center(MSC) 200 communicates with cell sites CS1, CS2, etc., and local switching networks. Each of cell sites CS1, CS2, etc., includes at least one electrically controllable antenna module, a support unit, a base station BS, and at least one down-tilt controller DC. The controllable antenna module is attached on the support unit. The base station BS communicates with MSC 200 by a high-frequency (RF) signal to/from the antenna module. The down-tilt controller DC communicates with the base station and the MSC 200 (more precisely MDCU 202) for controlling the down-tilt angle of the antenna module.
