A content management system 10 includes a video recording and reproducing apparatus 200 which communicates with a bookmarking terminal 50 to receive a bookmark request and executes processing for associating the request with a bookmark ID for the replay outputting video content and storing both in a storage means 201 and processing for transmitting the bookmark ID to a management server 100, a management server 100 which executes processing for receiving the bookmark ID from the video recording and reproducing apparatus 200 to store it in a storage means 101 and processing for reading a list of bookmark IDs from the storage means 101 to transmit it to an operation terminal 300, and the operation terminal 300 which executes processing for communicating with the management server 100 to receive the list of bookmark IDs and receiving a selection instruction of the bookmark for replay from a user and processing for informing the selection instruction to the video recording and reproducing apparatus.
