To provide a method and a system, for the specification of the position of a radio emission source wherein the position of the radio emission source which emits unknown unauthorized radio waves can be specified simply and with high accuracy.
In the system, the position of the radio emission source which emits the radio waves in a specific space region 1 is specified. The system is provided with at least two receiving antennas 2-1 to 2-5 installed in the specific space region 1, receiving means 11 which are connected to the respective receiving antennas, spectrum computing means 13 which are connected to the respective receiving means and which compute reception radio spectrums and position computing means 6 by which the position of the radio emission source used to emit the radio waves at a frequency is computed on the basis of a reception output at the same frequency in the reception radio spectrums in nearly the same time obtained from the spectrum computing means, on the basis of the distance between the receiving antennas and on the basis of a correction value at the frequency found in advance by an experiment in the specific space region 1.
