Abstract:
To insolubilize heavy metals such as arsenic, selenium or the like in the incineration ash of sewage sludge simply and efficiently at a low cost.
A solution containing an iron compound, desirably ferrous sulfate is added to incineration ash containing at least either one of arsenic and selenium to be kneaded therewith and the kneaded mixture is allowed to stand for a predetermined period or the incineration ash after allowed to stand is heat- treated or an alkalline earth metal compound is added to the incineration ash after allowed to stand or after heated.
