To reduce elution of an impure ion under operation from a conductive molded product, especially a separator of the molded product for a fuel battery in a solid polymer type.
The separator of the molded product comprising a conductive resin is soaked in a heated aqueous treating liquid to promote the elution of an ion component from the molded product to previously remove the ion component. Water or a solution obtained by adding an alcohol, a glycol or an alkali to the water is used as the aqueous treating liquid. The heating temperature of the aqueous treating liquid is preferably 100-170°C. An ultrasound can be applied to the molded product soaked in the aqueous medium, or a voltage can be applied to the molded product soaked in the alkaline water. Both of the methods can be applied in combination.
