PURPOSE: To prevent a travel from being disabled by measuring the battery voltage of the unmanned traveling vehicle when the unmanned traveling vehicle reaches a reference station, and moving the unmanned traveling vehicle to an electric charging station in a guide path when the battery voltage is lower than a reference value.
CONSTITUTION: In addition to work stations, a home base (reference station) and the battery charging station are provided in the travel path of unmanned vehicles, and the ground-side communication controller at the home base sends a precedence signal to the communication device 44 on an unmanned traveling vehicle. When the unmanned traveling vehicle reaches the home base, the battery voltage is checked and once a battery voltage drop detecting circuit 50 detects the battery voltage being lower than the reference voltage, a control circuit 41 quits the reception of call communication data; and the unmanned traveling vehicle is guided for branching and stops at the battery charging station. The unmanned traveling vehicle stops until an operator presses a start switch 35 next, so the operator replaces the voltage-dropping battery with a battery which is already charged.
