Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use hard bitumen having specific penetration in the manufacturing of a material covered with bitumen having specific modulus of rigidity for use in the construction of pavement by specifying contents of bitumen in the material covered with bitumen.
SOLUTION: In the manufacturing of a material covered with bitumen having modulus of rigidity of 24.103MPa for use in constructing and reinforcing a pavement, wherein hard bitumen having penetration of 0-20 at a temperature of 25°C is used, contents of bitumen of the material covered with bitumen is 6wt.% or more. In this case, penetration is measured according to standard AFNOR NFT 66-004 and modulus of rigidity is measured according to TOTAL 762-94 code. As usable bitumen, synthetic bitumen having characteristics similar to natural bitumen can be used and the synthetic bitumen comprises a mixture of petroleum resin prepared by polymerizing unsaturated hydrocarbon existing in unsaturated petroleum fraction or indene-coumarone resin and aromatic and/or paraffin hydrocarbon.
