PURPOSE: To easily and inexpensively set the electric corrosion protection anode by injecting water from the nozzle-shaped tip of a pipeline to dig a pit in the ground and inserting the anode in the pit.
CONSTITUTION: A ditch 4 is dug along an existing buried pipeline 8 while keeping off the pipeline 8, and a scaffold 10 is laid over the ditch 4. A riser 1 is vertically held by an operator 7, water 6 is injected from the tip at the flow velocity of 5m/sec to dig a pit 5, and the riser 1 is sent downward. When the pit is dug to a desired depth, the riser 1 is swung to expand the pit 5, and the riser 1 is extracted when the pit 5 of the desired size is formed. A magnesium anode is inserted into the pit 5 by using a jig, the water 6 is scooped up, a lead wire is connected to the anode, and the pit 5 and ditch 4 are backfilled. Thus, the embedding cost, site, period, etc., are drastically reduced, and the anode of vertical type can be used.
