To provide a method for wrapping food dough, comprising cutting bar-like food dough prepared by covering an inner material with an outer skin material, by which the thickness of the outer skin material of the wrapped food can be adjusted, and to provide an apparatus therefor.
This method for wrapping the food dough is characterized by stopping the driving of an inner material-feeding portion for feeding the inner material for a prescribed time to stop the extrusion of the inner material, thereby staying the outer material continuously fed from an outer material-feeding portion on the outer periphery of the inner material, driving the inner material-feeding portion for a prescribed time to extrude the inner material together with the outer material from an extrusion portion, and repeating the operations to arrange circular thick belt portions in the outer skin material of the bar-like food dough at a regular interval. The vertical positions of the circular belt portions on the basis of the cutting position of a cutting device are suitably controlled to adjust the thickness of the covering outer material of the wrapped food.
