Abstract:
To provide methods for treating severe insulin resistance by interfering with glucagon receptor signaling.SOLUTION: A method for treating a patient with severe insulin resistance is provided. The method comprises administering a therapeutic amount of GCG/GCGR signaling pathway inhibitor to a patient in need thereof, thereby reducing blood glucose or beta-hydroxybutyrate levels, or mediating severe insulin resistance, or mediating condition or disease characterized by severe insulin resistance, or alleviating at least one symptom or complication associated with the condition or disease or severity thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
