Title:
MICROPHONE FITTING STRUCTURE FOR RECORDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01318496
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the aesthetic appearance and the front directional sensitivity characteristic of a recorder by fitting a microphone 3 to a recessed part formed on the front of a device main body so as to extend up to both side surface sides of the body.

CONSTITUTION: In an 8mm video camera (recorder) 1 exclusively used for camera-photographing, a recessed part 7 having a half circular arc shaped section to horizontally extend up to both right and left side surfaces 5 and 6 of a camera body (device main body) 2 is formed on the lower part of a lens 4 on a front 3 of the camera main body 2. A microphone is buried in the center of this recessed part 7 so as not to project from a circular arc shaped curved surface 7a to an outside. Since the microphone is fitted to this recessed part 7, and the recessed part 7 is covered with a cover 9 for preventing a low frequency noise, the front directional sensitivity characteristic of the microphone can be further enhanced in a high frequency area, and the difference between the above-mentioned sensitivity characteristic and side surface directional sensitivity characteristic or back directional sensitivity characteristic can be larger. Further, 10 is a VTR driving part provided for the rear part of one side surface 6 of the camera main body 2.
