To provide a microscope system that has magnification and high resolution, can easily perform observation or acquisition of a magnified image of an observation target in a portable state, and can be used even in a similar state of a conventional microscope.
The microscope system 70 for magnifying observation and photographing includes: a portable handy unit 72, as a single unit, formed from a lens barrel 1 in which a microscope objective lens and imaging lens as magnifying and imaging optical systems are disposed, and a single-lens reflex camera 101 for capturing a magnified image obtained via the imaging optical system; and a stand unit 71 formed from a stage 74 for holding the observation target in a required observation range, a unit attaching body 75 having a positioning mechanism for fixing the handy unit 72 in a detachable state, and a base 73 for supporting the stage 74 and unit attaching body 75 with high rigidity.
