PURPOSE: To shorten the length of cut scrap to efficiently suck the cut scrap into a sucking cover, by providing an inhibiting plate, so that the cut scrap can abut on the rake faces of respective cutting blade tips, on the tip outer peripheral part of a milling cutter main body.
CONSTITUTION: Cut scrap is led to an inhibiting plate 12, provided so that the cut scrap can abut on a rake faces 11a, along the rake faces 11a of respective cutting blade tips 11, and the cut scrap is struck to the plate 12 to be cut into short pieces. Moreover, the cut scrap, being cut into short pieces, is efficiently sucked by suction at respective suction ports provided on a sucking cover to be led between a milling cutter main body and the sucking cover. The cut scrap, thus led, is blown off by air being led from respective air lead-in ports to be recovered through the respective sucking ports.
