To suppress generation of oil mist which is a factor to deteriorate a working environment without degrading processing performance and lubricating performance in working oil for cutting, grinding, etc., of a metallic material such as steel, alloy steel and aluminum and a brittle material such as quartz, silicon, ceramic and carbon, and in lubricating oils for apparatuses and machines such as pump oil, compressor oil and chain oil.
There is provided a mist suppressor including, as an active component, an amphoteric electrolyte polymer having a cationic group and an anionic group at a ratio of 70:30 to 5:95. Generation of mist is remarkably suppressed by adding the mist suppressor to working oil for cutting, grinding, etc., of a metallic material such as steel, alloy steel and aluminum and a brittle material such as quartz, silicon, ceramic and carbon, and to lubricating oils for apparatuses and machines such as pump oil, compressor oil and chain oil.
