PURPOSE: To obtain a mixed material for seeding capable of uniformly sowing very small and lightweight seeds and reducing loss of seeds by scattering, etc., during seeding, effective for improving seeding operation by blending a specific mixed material with seeds previously wetted with water.
CONSTITUTION: This mixed material for seedling is obtained by blending a mixture of (A) one or more selected from a water-soluble resin such as gum arabic or gelatin, particles whose surface is coated with the water-soluble resin and a re-emulsifiable powdery polymer such as vinyl acetate and (B) water- insoluble solid particles such as river sand with seeds previously wetted with water. The blending ratio of the component A and the component B is preferably 5-40 pts.wt. of the component A based on 100 pts.wt. of the component B and seeding is preferably carried out by using the mixed material for seeding.
