One embodiment of the mobile body 1 includes a boarding seat 8 for boarding a passenger, an under carriage 13 for supporting the boarding seat 8, a wheel 6 for moving the under carriage 13, a force sensor 9 for outputting a measuring signal corresponding to a force applied to the seat surface of the boarding seat 8, a control calculation part 51 for calculating a command value for driving the wheel 6 in response to the output from the force sensor 9, and a mode switching means for switching an operation mode between a mobile body mode and a chair mode for enabling use as a chair by restricting the driving of the wheel 6 rather than the moving body mode.
