Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication apparatus capable of adequately displaying a communication enable/disable state.
SOLUTION: During the packet communication, a CPU 5 controls a radio unit 2 to perform a perch scan for retrieving a perch channel of a communicable level. It decides whether the retrieved channel adapts to the packet communication. If adapting to the packet communication, the CPU 5 selects the retrieved channel as a new packet channel. But, if not adapting to the packet communication, it sets a skip mode on a selection table generated in a RAM 4 and continues retrieving other channels. If the skip mode is set on the selection table in the RAM 4 whereas no channel is ensured after ending the perch scan, the CPU 5 indicates a symbol showing own location being inside a communication area on a display 6, not indicating own location being out of the communication area.
