Abstract:
To enable an application program to transmit / receive data to / from an external apparatus via a serial communication terminal.
A plurality of portable telephones 100a, 100b are interconnected by a serial cable 20. Each of the portable telephones 100a, 100b is provided with a serial communication mode wherein the application program installed on a platform can transmit / receive data to / from an opposite party via the serial cable 20 connected to the serial communication terminal. Thus, interconnecting the portable telephones 100a, 100b with the serial cable enables the portable telephones 100a, 100b to play a battle type game or the like.
