Abstract:
To estimate and manage the location of a mobile set possessed by a wandering person with high precision and to easily build up the system at a low cost.
In the mobile telephone system where idle channels in a 2-way CATV network are used for transmission channels, position information of mobile sets 108-110 extracted from a master set 101 that conducts channel exchange control is stored in a storage device in time order. An information processing section of a processing unit 120 compares the position information stored in the storage device with preceding information in the stored time order, calculates a difference and estimates a moving direction and position based on the difference.
