Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which can reduce probability of unauthorized use and a control method of the portable terminal.SOLUTION: A portable terminal operates by receiving power supply from a secondary battery which is attached to its own terminal. The portable terminal comprises: a reading unit which reads out identification information of the secondary battery; a storage unit which prestores authenticity verification information for verifying authenticity of the identification information; and a control unit which verifies whether the second battery is authorized to be used on the basis of the identification information and the authenticity verification information for verifying the authenticity, and controls operation on the basis of the verification result.
