To improve the lubricity without deteriorating the touch feeling by carrying out intermittent corona discharge treatment of a woolen textile structure and simultaneous cooling treatment thereof during the treatment and suppressing the deterioration of the woolen fibers.
This thickness of a woolen textile structure 1 such as a wool woven fabric is measured with a sensor 4 when carrying out the corona discharge treatment thereof and the obtained results are inputted to a controller 5 to set the interval between a corona discharge device 2 and the textile structure 1 by operation of a moving means 6 such as a cylinder constant. The textile structure 1 in a state of a higher moisture content than the official regain is fed to a space in a state provided with an air layer between the corona discharge device 2 and a dielectric roll 3 thereof. The corona discharge treatment of the front surface (1a) and the back surface (1b) of the textile structure 1 is repeated plural times and intermittent corona discharge treatment is carried out so as to cool the textile structure 1 to about normal temperatures by a means such as air cooling during the corona discharge treatment at one time.
