Abstract:
To smoothly obtain a conjugate fiber having high moisture absorbability/releasability along with high hot water shrinkage and thermal stress.
This conjugate fiber is composed of a polyamide as sheath component and a composition, i.e., a blend of a thermoplastic water-absorbing resin consisting of a polyethylene oxide-crosslinked product with an ethylene- vinyl acetate copolymer-saponified product 30-70mol% in ethylene content and ≥95% in saponification degree in the weight ratio of (5:95) to (50:50) as core component in the core-sheath weight ratio of (1:5) to (5:1).
