Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject molded article resistant to color-development or discoloration by irradiation, having stable appearance and useful as a molded article for medical use or food use by molding a specific cycloolefin resin composition and sterilizing with radiation.
SOLUTION: The objective molded article is produced by molding a resin composition composed of (A) 100 pts.wt. of a cycloolefin resin consisting of (A-1) a copolymer of ethylene and (A1) a compound of the formula I [R1 to R18, Ra and Rb are each H, a halogen, a (halogen-substituted)hydrocarbon group, etc.; m≥0; (n) and (q) are each 0 or 1] or (A2) a compound of the formula II [R1 to R19 are each H, a halogen, a (halogen-substituted)hydrocarbon group, an alkoxy, etc.; p≥0; q≥0; (m) and (n) are each 0-2], (A-2) a ring-opened (co)polymer of A1 or A2, (A-3) a hydrogenation product of A-2 or (A-4) a graft-modified product of A-1, A-2 or A-3 and (B) 0.01-10 pts.wt. of a phosphorus-based stabilizer and sterilizing the molded product with radiation.
